A dog can compete in all kinds of things. Today there are so many competitions that you can choose anything. As long as the competition has nothing to do with the internationally recognized ones, it can be for the most beautiful dog from the street and the jury can be neighbors.

However, if a dog is to take part in an internationally recognised competition, it is not enough to just brush them and go. These shows are about something completely different and the opinion about them is definitely not unanimous. But we will not discuss it, there is a place for that somewhere else.

If an owner wants to have a champion dog, they have a long way to go. Only dogs with a pedigree certificate are allowed in this competition. If they meet many conditions and do well, they can get the so-called CACIB. This abbreviation stands for Certificat d\’Aptitude au Championat International de Beauté. Which is actually a dog waiting for the title of International Champion of Beauty. Which is an achievement that not everyone can boast of.

The preparation of a dog is not some ordinary matter. Among other things, the dog must be able to hold a show attitude. The smaller ones both on the ground and on the table. They must be able to move in the ring, where judging and evaluation also takes place. The dog must then be completely calm and have its teeth examined or, if it is not a female, have its sensitive areas touched. If he goes off on a member of the jury, it is not very good and the competition is basically over. The dog is as unlucky as the owner.

In conclusion, it is possible to state the thing that everyone who has never been to a dog show thinks, but thinks that if he buys a dog, he will earn back what he paid for it at the show and also gain more. That is one big mistake. On the contrary, you have to pay at the show. It varies how much. Roughly from eight hundred crowns to twelve hundred. Then, of course, only if he is placed at the show, he can get food, some cockades or a cup. Money is hardly possible. Unless somebody donates it, like a sponsor, but this is not happening.
