This rule applies primarily due to copyright law to prevent unauthorized copying.e)       Newspapers and magazines offer the option of return only if a subscription contract has been concluded.\u00a0The 14-day period begins on the first day after physical receipt of the goods. It is also important to note that this period is intended only for necessary testing. For example, if we wear out shoes in mountainous terrain, the seller may charge for depreciation of the boots by deducting a certain amount from the refund. Therefore, we may not receive the full amount back. Before placing an order, however, the most important thing is to verify the online store. The Czech Trade Inspection Authority has records of several hundred scammers who never deliver the goods. They demand payment in advance and often do not even offer any other payment method. It is important to be cautious and carefully verify the merchant\u2019s credibility, for example, by checking other customers\u2019 experiences. In case of any problems, you can seek advice from the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (\u010cOI) or the Consumer Protection Association \u2013 Asociace, z.s. Larger cities usually have in-person, free counseling centers. Purchasing fromprivate individuals is a separate issue. Enforcing the warranty period is more difficult in this case. From a legal standpoint, a third party should not file a complaint about the goods directly with the store, but should ask the individual from whom they purchased the used washing machine, for example, to handle the complaint. The warranty is not transferable. Second-hand shopping thus involves many pitfalls and significant risks. Christmas should be a time of peace and relaxation. Therefore, don\u2019t seek out the lowest price or direct imports from China.
